why are my plants growing so slow ?
My friend and I have same strain same method but his using a mh and im using cfl.
But there is a huge growth difference.
Mine are between 10-15 cm
And his are 20-25cm
My nodes are closer and his are streched out.

Is this normal ?
And which is better short and stocky or tall and streched. .

Will they both produce same results ?

Please help

What kinda help are you wanting? Heh. This is exactly what should happen given the different lights. It usually boils down to the actual wattage and distance. A MH will outperform a CFL in veg any day of the year.

By that much tho ?

And the fact that my nodes are all tight togther and the mh are all stretched it that how it is with the two lights ?

I have 330watts cfl total of 18000 lumens in a total of 4 sqft so 80w sqft
And he has 600 mh but in a larger area ends up being 100 w sqft.

I didnt think 20 watts would make that much difference.
I just want to no those this sound normal lol.

and again what is better short and bushy or tall and streched. Mainly for growing big plants long veg

Well I have 9 plants, using a 400watt mh and 800 watts of cfl's and I can say that with cfl's the plants are going to grow short and bushy as the mh is giving more light the 4 on the center and they are 7-9 cm taller than the ones with the cfl's and still have about the same number of nodes
