Lights:

For lights, what is you budget? I would recommend if you use CFL's to use the 23-26w ones (there equiv to 100w) that have a bluish or redish glow to them.

If you have a bigger budget you can use High Pressure Sodium or Metal Halide. They come in many sizes i think, 250w, 400w, 800w, 750w, and 1000w. I might be wronge tho I havent looked into them yet.

You can use the long tube florense lights but you would need many of them.

Size:

Also for the "box" size. Think how big you want your plants to grow when finished. The smallest you can get away with will be either using a low height strain such as lowrider or if you flower early/use clones.

I have a box that I made that can probably grow about 2 plants in them or 1 decent sized plant. A link to it is also in my sig under Grow Journals [2]. Might be an interesting idea for you to use.

Heat, Humidity, Airflow:

You can control each of these elements. Airflow would be the easiest. Just make sure you have plenty of fans blowing air around. Remember that heat rises so it will probably be hotter at the top of your grow space then the bottom. This helps when reading the temperature so you don't wonder why the tops of your plants are burning.

As for humidity, I am not quite sure myself. I have never been measuring that until this grow I'm in the process of doing. The seeds haven't sprouted just yet.

FAQ:

If you look in my Sig you will see a link to the growfaq if you need alot of questions answered.
