Alright guys I am looking at hydro systems and each one is different I was curious on how big the net pots should be? There are 3in 5in and 6in which one would be the best space is not an issue so I am looking for something that can grow a rather large plant or a whole lot of small ones. Anyways anyone have any idea on a system that would work well for me? Or something I could build?

Thanks Guys!

i use 5" pots in my DWCs and have grow plants well over 4'. as for what kind of system would work well for you,,, thats your call. most systems have pros and cons, but for some1 that hasnt done a hydro grow before you really cant go wrong with a DWC. they are cheap and easy to build, can be build completely from stuff you can get at walmart, and they are about as simple as hydro gets.

What does DWC stand for? And as for watering how many times a day and how much? I've read a lot but there are some simple things I still have yet to figure out. But thanks for the info!

DWC=deep water culture
there are no times or anything like that. you get a 20 gallon rubber made tote and cut holes in the lid for the net pots. you put your water and nutes in the tote with a few air stones. keep the water level about 2" for the bottom of the net pots. your roots grow out of the net pots down into the nute/water. the air stones keep o2 in the water so your roots have enough air. thats it,,, a tote a few netpots, a few air stones, a air pump or 2, and some nutes . no timers, pumps, or clogged sprayers.
PS alota ppl call DWCs bubblers. search it and youll find tons of info
