small plants

i started my plants last night and im only trying to grow them about a foot tall before i start flowering im also trying to figure out how big they will grow while flowering this is my first grow and i was wandering if you guys had any tips for keeping plants small but still producing a good yield

Plants will double, sometimes triple when they start to flower.
I have a plant thats about 6-7in tall, setting it up to flower under hps.
I'm expecting it to get around 1 1/4ft tall...

Use 6500 K light, top after you get to 6-8 nodes. Start flowering light schedule a week after topping. Lay off the nitrogen fertilizer as much as possible. Plants can triple in height from flowering. Tie the stems down if you run out of height.

i read a post a minute ago that you can force flower plants straight from seedling does anyone have any experience in this and if yes how much did your plant yield?
