small white slug or worm idk?

i just got home from work and went outside to check on my girls (its been raining for the past few days) and i noticed what looks to be whitish/clear color slugs on my soil and one was actually on a leaf of my plant they were 1/2" to an 1" long does anyone know what they might possibly have been and whether or not they are harmful and can i get rid of them by any chance
