Smell Factor

Ok, this is my first grow and I'm doing it in the greenhouse in the back garden. Going with a friends indoor grow I know how the smell when the plant is in flowering can get rather intense. My friend has a carbon filter which filters the smell great. However, since Im in the greenhouse and have no carbon filter at hand.. how noticible will the smell be outside the greenhouse be when my plants are in bloom? Cheers.

Depends on how air-tight it is as it were, and it depends on the strain, but you'll probably be able to smell it 10 feet away at the minimum, at a guess. Also depends on your dominant wind direction, which could work in your favour. Hard to predict really, would need to know how air tight you are, the strain, etc

I need to get a filter. I can smell my room from 50 feet away right now. Not like a waft or anything. It's like "God Damn that's stinky".

You can get a charcole filter and fan for it and it will work just like inside. It would be beneficial for two reason, one it gets the smell out and two it gets some good air flow for your gals in there.

Hi mate, the strain is a cross between GWS and an unknown strain from cameroon.... Looks like im gonna have to totally seal up the gh.. any ideas on materials? Maybe silicon will do the job actually... Wind wise, well im in a end of terrace with another house some 10 feet... wind tends to howl through the two gable ends.

Hey that sounds like a great idea, its one of them polycarbonate gh that unfortunatly has no windows, so air flow is a total must.

Thanks doods :)
