Smoking filtration vs Straight smoke

I am a bong smoker -one-hit "snaps" to be exact. I find myself cleaning the bong on a daily basis. Lots of sticky tar and ash accumulate -especially when the weed is exceptionally good. It amazes me how much "pollution" gets filtered out in the water. It also makes me wonder if the filtration optimizes the smoke....Or, if it removes lots of psychoactive constituents.
I used to smoke joints and all the time and when the joint is finished, there's nothing left except maybe a bit of burnt paper.
And then, of course, there's concentrates, where even more "stuff" is filtered out.

I don't know exactly what I'm trying to find out....maybe which method of inhalation is healthiest? Or....Which method gets you the highest? I honestly get the highest from dabbing a concentrate....Next, is probably bong hits. And finally, joints....But shouldn't it be the other way around since the joint is full spectrum and concentrates are so highly filtered?

I dunno....discuss! :)

You lose out a lot of potency while burning weed. If you want the most out of weed in any form, vaping/eating is the way to go. Dabs are just another form of vaporizing your weed, just at highly concentrated THC levels.

Appreciate the input! Yeah that makes sense, but I was also wondering if there are some chemicals held in the tar and ash that either contribute or detract from the overall type of high. Whenever I read about "full-spectrum", it usually refers to the entire plant being used and not an isolated (filtered) component. Maybe another way of asking it is "Are the tars and ashes taking away from the high rather than giving it the "full spectrum" of chemicals?" The high I get whenever I dab is strong....but it's also different.

Someone once said that whenever you inhale smoke into your lungs, the body treats it like it would any other invader and starts to increase the immune response by slowing you down, making you get tired and sometimes even making you feel a bit feverish -not literally, but that kind of relaxed/burnt feeling that comes with low grade fevers. Is that the tar and ash that's doing it?

I don't like eating it because it doesn't make me feel high. Edibles often give me an uncomfortable feeling. I prefer the instant onset of smoking or dabbing much more.
