Smoking Leaves

Will fan leaves get you high from a plant in veg? A lot of people say that there are little trichs on them. And the plant is made from cannabinoids. So why not?

Not really, more of a headache. Sure leaves will get you high if they are covered in crystal, normally when the plant is in flowering. But in veg, no. It would be stupid to smoke a plan that is in veg.

once in flower you will get more thc, during veg they are more like solar pannels converting sugars into plant energy

When harvesting, you can use sugar leaves to make ice hash, but thats the only way I will smoke leaves, unless they are on buds im tokin.

I tried some of mine the other day - just on a last look through the stalk I grabbed 3-4 leftover sugarleaves and figured "they won't do anything, sod it I'll try them"...I smoked the spliff and kept thinking "nah, this isn't doing anything" - then I moved a bit and suddenly realised I was a bit stoned...not mega-couchlock but just enough to feel something, glad I kept my sugar leaves and went over the stem that last time! (thats actually the most controlled high I've ever got with having a pretty low tolerance..if I hadn't had a month off before it it wouldn't have done much I don't think)

Fan leaves I don't have a clue but sugar-leaves (those you can make hash from) WILL work but they aren't as strong and don't particularly taste brill...if you wanna try them I reckon you should just keep them after your next harvest, dry them out for a further fortnight and keep them somewhere for emergencies - or you could just freeze them for hash

sugar leaves i would assume would totally depend on the age of the trichs themselves and how many there were on the leaf.

as for the fan leaf, im not going to say that there arent cannibinoids in them. I WILL say that it will almost definitely not get someone high. I once smoked one, bore through the horrid taste, and actually did feel a sedation to a small extent. im still thinking it isnt a 'high' (at least not thc/cbd induced). id bet its some mix of mild oxygen deprivation and the chlorophyll that gives that feeling.

I'll only comment that back in the 60's it was pretty rare to find a bag with a bud in it. Also had many many seeds.

I don't know about your area but in my area in the 60's and 70's bags were usually about half buds and half 'shake.' The 'shake' was not leaves, it was the buds that crumbled due to it being dry and handled so much in shipment and 'packaging.' I never saw a bag filled with that could have correctly been called leaf/leaves. If you did you needed new dealers.

For my area, it was somewhere in the middle. Basicly, plant tops would be the best I could describe it.
4 finger bags of Mexican for $15 was definately headache material at times.
Young and low on $, we'd get the most we could for the buck. At that age most of us were into volume more than quality. To get toasted on one J meant good stuff.
Now there was higher quality (Panama, Alcopoco, N.Y. Quick Silver, etc.) but for that kind of money it comanded, we'd generally go for the Sunshine, 7-way, Thia Stix, Hash, etc.
Buddies brothers that came back from Nam and such always had goods to share. A real treat.

was exactly what i was thinking.

i dont understand what you mean by 'tops' Canon, but i highly doubt you bought a bag that was fan leaves and trim. calyxes have the highest concentration of psychoactive chemicals in the entire plant. im sure it was still buds, even if airy, and that it had crumbled like bt said. leaf/leaves wont get you high, and i have never seen a legit person try to sell them as such.

Those fan leaves got me high. Maybe it was a placebo, but i dont care.

Around here in the late 60's, lids were 10 bucks a pop. But not many buds, mostly leaves, stems and seeds. By the 70's you had brown bud/seeds. After being used to good bud now, I'd probably barely notice the buzz from leaves. But they did do something, just not really strongs

they give you a slight head change and if youre in desprate need they might help out a smaaalll amount but really its not worth fighting through the taste bleh.

With a potent strain you can certainly get a buzz from the fan leaves - especially in flowering. Sugared leaves can be very potent - once ate just 2 grams of sugar leaves and it was too much for me. Usually ate 1 gram of hash at that time so figured i would be needing more with the leaves and all.... but well.. i didn't need that.

Well a lot of you say trich covered leaves in flowering will get you high but fan leaves won't. But i know for a fact that both will get you high. Like 3 months ago when i was desperate i would smoke the fan leaves. I just either dried them in the microwave or hanging them up. I would then take like 3-4 medium sized fan leaves crush them up and load them in my bong. After smoking about a whole gram of harsh leaves you feel kinda high, but it really creeps up on you. Getting high off of fan leaves is my FAVORITE high. Sure it is harsh as shit and you have to smoke a lot, but music was more amazing than normal and my senses were really amped up. I wouldn't suggest it over bud because how harsh and unhealthy it is for you(also how much it takes to get high), but it is still something im glad i experienced like 15times in my life. So yes fan leaves in veg or from a male will get you a great high, but its not something that is comfortable to smoke. If you guys don't believe me try it yourself or take my word(btw if you want to try it take in acvount your tolerance, it took me like 5-6 bongloads). Well have fun

Wow old ass forum thread. Immah revive for a second. I can confirm with ICantBelieveItsNotBud . once you have choked down 2 or 3 J's, you have an excellent clear headed, purely relaxed high, with absolutely zero trace of paranoia and anxiety. And Murders depression and stress. I do believe it is low in THC , but however It still contains some Good CBD which explains the medical effects. So the amount of leaves you need to smoke for the THC high at a good level, would mean you have consumed potentially up to 5 times that amount in CBDs, depending on plant. The best high you can get is on edibles and vegging leaves if you can stomach it. As for me, that part of my young experiment case has passed so I must to pass on smoking leaves lul
