Lets say if I get 2 syringes of lets say Golden teacher of cubensis psychedelic mushrooms. SporeBank.com Research Supplies > Golden Teacher Spores . Then i get a 3lb pound bag of this Everything Mushrooms :: Grow Your Own Mushrooms :: Sterilized Substrates and Media :: Sterilized Rye Mushroom Grow and Spawn Bag w/ injection site - 3lb . Then i take a syringe of golden teacher and inject the bag bag with the spores. Then let the bag colonize. Then lol! I basically make a casing out of the myceilium, that was colonized in the rye bag?? doing this method Casing Mushrooms Shrooms .


SO WOULD THIS ALL WORK? Should i use a different strain? or use a different mycobag?? i would like to get as much input from u guys before i go and buy this lol . Would 1 syringe do the trick and fully colonize the myco bag? And would i get a pretty could size fruit from doing that casing method?:confused:
 
Hey Surryman. What did customs do when they stole ya shrooms?? I'm not actually planning on getting any in, I'm more interested in DMT but I was just curious.

Thanks! I just would like more info before i go ahead and order this shit ya kno!! i wanna have a bigger yield then with rice cakes, all that work and i only get like 3.5gs dried?? that sucks lol! i want a bed of mushrooms ya know:-P
 
so if ne one could help me pick out the right myco bag and the right strain to do casing for my first time then that would be awesome!!
 
never grown before? i'd suggest doing PFTEK brown rice flour cakes, follow the instructions exactly, don't cut corners on any materials/supplies.

i have grown before lol , have a whole nother thread on it i did pftek rice cakes, and the yield is so small!!! i was just wondering if i should get a myco bag and creat spawn and then case it so i can then achieve a much bigger yield instead of using rice cakes
 
There is certainly no reason to buy two syringes of the same strain. Even if you don't make a LC (which you better!) you can still nocc up ten jars or six or so of those bullshit bags you're thinking of buying. Then take a print and make your own syringes if you so desire, but since you'll have your master LC in the fridge anyway you won't need to.

I honestly think there is not any reason to buy a pre-packaged substrate.

There aren't any farms around you, man?

k first wats an LC?? and great i only need 1 syringue. and also i cant keep anything in the fridge my dad will want to know wtf it is lol !!! and no there is not any farms by me i live in the south chicago metropolitan area so no farms. But by all means what is wrong with the substrate bag?? and another question 4 ya when the substrate turns to spawn i can then basically case the spawn?? in like a tin foil pan in a terrarium etc etc and i should get a bigger yield??
 
yeaaa sooo i'm really debating if i should buy 2 of those myco bags, cuz there are no farms around here ya know. but i am wondering though, there is a busy bee garden center, and they sell cow dung and i think maybe horse dung buts its already pastuerized.... lol

Good. Use that, after pasteurizing it yourself regardless of what the bag says, if you decide to go bulk.

But, for one, if you're going to do something in a terrarium then there's no reason to use a bulk substrate like poo. Especially since it's your first time, you should just do a by-the-book pf tek and then, if you so desire, crush up and use half of your cakes as spawn for a couple small casings. Look up the 50/50 casing on shroomery.

Edit: Liquid culture. Look it up while you're at the shroomery
