So we all know 12/12 for budding but, what happens if you did 10/14?

yep, you would have a smaller yeild. supposedly...

now, hypotheses come into play. others have tried this, i have not, so i can't offer my oppinion on this method. but...

supposedly you can flower with 12 hours of dark followed by 6 hours of light. this is done with a digital seven day timer, and is supposed to take a couple of weeks off the flower time. a day is only 18 hours instead of 24. you trick the plant into finishing earlier.

i watched a log where someone did this a couple years ago. they ended up with great results, but yeild was lower than that of his previous grows of the same strain.

10/14 or thereabouts is sometimes helpful to use on very long flowering sativas...especially in the last 1/2 of flower. A friend had a Haze for quite awhile that just wouldn't finish up completely if he didn't drop the light to 10 hours.

But in general..yeah..12/12 is the standard/way to go.

24/0 veg vs. 18/6 veg is a long-standing argument. IMO, such a decision is merely personal preference. Both work...that's all I know!

Yer right...poor little plants never get 24 hour "baths" in nature...

and nature doesn't flip the switch and drop the sunlight to 12/12 in an instant either...does
*she*?

so Im guessing *you're* dropping your flower times a minute a day from 18/6 to 12/12 to be in tune w/ nature and all...right?

c'mon man...c,mon....
