So what do I make my 7.5" grow cabinet look like?

I have a 7 and a half foot tall plywood box that makes a whuring sound with a lock on the front in my garage. No one is every going to see it up close but I still would like to dress it up to look like something other than a giant fucking grow cabinet. It is made out of plywood and ugly as sin (and functional as fuck). No light leaks but I also need a plausible cover story for "hey, whats in the box? LOL, are you growing pot???"

Speaker is out because it is just too fucking massive and would be very odd. The air intake is on the top and exhaust is filtered and then vented through a hole in the back (facing the wall).

Any ideas?

Leave another fan going in the garage in plain sight, and it will distract from the cab.

Get an old dresser from a garage sale or what-not. Take off the fronts of the drawers and attatch then to the front of your box. Paint it and stack shit on top of it, Make it look like you storing an old dresser.

Probably the best idea right there.

Do you like rocks? I have a rock tumbler in my garage, it makes really pretty polished rocks for decoration and makes a lot of noise while in use. You can get a cheep one form a hobby shop for under 40 bucks. It will put off enough noise to cover up your fans and ballast hum. It usually takes a week or two at least to get rocks polished, so you could have it running all the time or on a timer. I really like Imabeasts idea for the exterior, go with that!

As soon as the lights go back on Ill take some pics of my box to give you an idea of how it will look, of course yours will be a larger scale but you'll get the idea. BRB

alright here goes:

#1 outside of box (looks like a dresser)
#2 How the fronts are attached (2x4's)
#3 I hid the screws attaching the 2x4"s in the drawer handle trims.
#4 the hinges, Im not as concerned with stealth as you are, but you could use inside hinges (so they don't show from the outside like mine do)

Good luck my friend, I hope I could help.

your wiring is visible? kind of defeats the purpose of stealth

Here is a picture of the custom built grow cab I have in my office/den (my lady decided on colors). Running a fan or air purifier in the room is a great idea to cover/explain the noise of any fans and ballasts in your cabinet. Plus, you get the benefit of cleaner air if you run the purifier. Cheap and easy.
