so what have ppl got to say about canna?

i have been reading quite abit on RIU about nuts, GH, AN ext. seem to be the hottest subject on why they are not the best for price or performance but i don't read much about canna. im not asking witch is best or cheapest ext. im here to ask anyone that HAS used canna about canna! im not asking about GH or AN or any other i would like to hear from people that are using or have used canna preferably people that have compared canna with all adds zym, rhizo, boost, p.k to without adds or canna compared to others DH, GH, AN ext. i do NOT want to see " i use GH and my yield is off the hook and smells so sick" much more wanting to hear about what salts build up, ph flux, plant ec or ppm usage and flux, dosage ratios ext. any real opinion on the canna range from bio to coco to the ph range anything CANNA! PLEASE

I've used CANNA for 4 years.

Initially I started out using the coco specific range and growing in coco.


Having played around a bit over the years I've now found the CANNA AQUA VEGA NPK 6-3-8 to be the best all round nute from start to finish.

I use the aqua vega, Rhizotonic, ZYM and PK1314 from their base range.

I also have on hand mono Ca and mono Mg for any deficiencies that may arise.

Boost is over priced for the difference it makes.

I generally keep EC under 1.7 but feed every watering.

Very nice, yummy looking. so you use a waterfarm/recycling system yea ?? do you find the aqua rang to do its job buffering ph ? are you using zym and rhizo at recommended rates ? thanks for the info is just what I wanted to see

Believe it or not I'm using the AQUA VEGA still with coco hand watering drain to waste.


The waste goes into my actual garden once a week.


When I ran a hydro system the buffering capacity of the AQUA range worked very well in a recirculating wilma4.

I use the ZYM and Rhizotonic at the recommended levels per canna's nutrient calculator.


I've played around with the PK at different stages and found it to be of most use during week3-5 of flowering.

I have seen p.k used in the first flower rez fill @ 1ml/L + boost @ 2ml/L and again thought week 4 of 8 @ 2ml/L + boost @ 4ml/L, by 3rd week of flower was looking like it was trying to ripen only in very few spots but week 4 bam I had never see such things... he only used boost and pk at those 2 points and only used zym, rhizo in early to mid veg @ 1/2 strength dropping off just with classic range... this is what has me so interested in canna lol

Canna recommends the use of PK during week 3 of flowering. But that's actual flowering not counting stretch transition.


Like I said though I've played around a little with it and found its best used when the pistils of the colas really start to form into buds rather than just a clump of hairs if you get what I mean.


The ZYM I have to use through out otherwise springtails would take up home in my pots. Not that they cause too much damage as they're detrivorous feeders.

But without ZYM they take over. Lol.


The Rhizotonic is basically a stress reliever and a great alternative for pH up.

I do get what you mean rite befor they boom around 3 1/2 - 4 1/2 true weeks the effect the p.k had in that 1 first feed was trippy hard to explain but yea your room looks grate u seem to keep track of it all at the rite times m8 400 from 400 is real nice lil turn over good on ya me i would water a lil more often or rise ec a tiny bit just to me all your leaf looks like it wants water or food as all razors and edges are curling up to catch water and direct it to the roots. is just my opinion your doin grate anyway lol rep+

That leaf edge roll up I believe to be magnesium related.


But they only have 10-14 days left.

The mono Ca and Mg I use I may have overdone the Ca a little through the grow causing the Mg def symptoms.
