Soil for seedlings and care

yar, Black and gold is fabulous for beginners and seedlings. Most will recommend ocean forest which is equally good. Black and Gold has very little nutrient content which means you'll be less likely to burn your seedlings. As far as nutes I'd start very slow. Once you get comfortable I'd recommend after 2-3 weeks. It ALL depends on your soil etc.. When the cotos turn yellow that is a sign your plants stored nutrients are burning off and it will need nutes soon. I like to give a small dose at 2/3 weeks to boost growth. Too much though and you'll have dead plants.

i personally watch those cotyledons like jartlow stated above when they start to show some yellow starting with a very small dose then would be an ok time as far as soil goes i grew up on a dairy farm and use a mix of haylige compost (alphalpha, hey, and corn compost) and this spot where we have buries dead cows for years and the soil is just really nice and rich
before using this i would go with my local grow stores own mix as it was cheaper ad\nd always did worked well
