soil for seedlings

Im not sure what kind of soil to use for my seedlings and i need to know what kind i should use. I want an organic soil that will sustain my plants nutrient needs for a little while as im a beginner and dont want to overdue it with the nutrients with the seedlings considering its in such a vulnerable state in this stage. Any kind of mixes you have good experience with would be awesome preferably something relativley cheap if possible haha thx :D

order everything you need online..don't go to hydro they will try to sell you on stuff you don't need.

these are my basics:

NEWBS:
~if you're not gonna invest $150 on a carbscrub, don't grow.
~on nutes: less = more.
~on when will my grow be done?: a watched pot doesn't boil. think 'fields of gold'.
~recommended for professional results inexpensively: GH Floraduo A/B..you need nothing else.
~increase yield easily, like a pro..just bend over cola in mid veg while she's thirty and pliable affix with soil staple (home depot) or zip tie.
~guide used for my first grow: google>cannabis dummies+guide+v4.pdf

Confused what u mean by these two?

They have the MG everywhere. You must be missing the bags. Look in the inside garden section...

Schuylar was just talking about training via LST to get more tops.

I used MiracleGro Potting Mix for 10 years and just switched to Fox Farms Potting Mix. With the FF I get more perlite and the dirt is easier to work. Means now I don't have to worry about hard clumps and 4-inch splinters. The FF product is somewhat more expensive but worth it to me.

Note -- whatever soil you choose make sure it has at least 10-15% perlite. Helps the plant access oxygen and water better.

Good luck, BigSteve.

Yea I used MG on my first attempt, and the top would crust up to the point water would just sit on top like on duck feathers, and not penetrate. I pulled roots up scratching the top all the time.

Op, Fox farm has a seed starting soil called "light warrior." That's what I use.

I have also used MG moisture control soil, but I pre flushed it before seedling placement.
MG soil has its brand line plant food infused in it. They make PERALITE also but it is also treated with MG plant food , so that is also washed first. It works pretty good , and had only to add micro nutes once in awhile. For a readily available soil available it not too bad.

Natures care is ok for starters. Wondersoil is an interesting 10lb. Cube that is activated with moisture ( Add Water around 4 - 5 gallons ) and it contains coco coir , worm casings and nutes already added.
