Soil Mixtures?

Hey guys.

Just wondering, what is the best soil mixtures to use for my plants? Should different soil mixtures be used through different stages (Nutrients excluded).

I am planning on germing them then putting them into 1 gallon nursery pots, then moving them into 10 gallon ones when they're good and ready..

Any "recipes" on successfull soil mixtures would be great, looked around for some guides but only found things not to use! :confused:

Hey Man, i rekn the best soil mixture is either straight Coco, or a 50/50 Mix of Perlite n Coco. Coco is a gud substance that retains moisture well. Adding Perlite allows ur mixture to be lighter meaning that you can water it more often and get more chemicals to ur roots. This mixture will cu all the way thru ur grow. Sounds like you r using good size pots tho.

One container of soil, entire plant cycle. Transplanting is something I rarely do. I pre germ my seeds and then place where they will be for the rest of their lives. No need causing transplant shock unless absolutely necessary...Though tis just my opinion. Of course I haven't had any problems with shock myself while transplanting but I hear people talk/type about it. I'd just start them in the 10 gallon containers unless you have a specific reason for starting them in something smaller. Are you looking for an ingredient list to make a good soil or some brandnames of high quality soils already mixed?

Just looking for ingredients to mix ("make") my own soil (unless the ingredients are really hard to find).

I will most likely just put them directly into the 10 gallon pots, was only going to use the 1 gallon pots for clones under the fluros.

EDIT: ALSO, I forgot to mention, I am going to be low stress-training my plants using the instructions from this guide: LST Guide. So I don't want my plants to uproot when I have to bend them. D:
