Soil PH Help

Hey, sorry for any stupid vocabulary I use, I am a complete noob.

My problem is this, I just planted my first seed and I have one of those ph meters for the soil, the ones with the probes. The top of the soil is testing good right around 6.5, but when I put the probe in deeper it drops down to 5-5.5. I have the ph +/- for the water and am putting in the right ph water. What can I do to fix the bottom soil, I am afraid when the roots get down there it will just kill the plant.

What meter do you have?

Come on now?

Just tap water. All you need at first. Hope you used a starter or non fert soil for a seed.
Meh... not a bad question. I've had some soil (non amended) , that had a starting PH of like 5.1 I popped my seeds, and then flushed my soil in 1/2 gallon pots to stablize it to the 6.5 range before dropping them in the soil.(half way readings). Best results I've had. Starting them in 5.1 is a terrible starting range. Much respect tho brother. If this dude has a good meter, it will read higher at the top 3 inches, and then drop as you penetrate deeper into the soil. I like to read mine about 6 inches deep... and wait 24 hours before taking a reading after feeding.

chill out man, the roots will be fine, soil ph works over a wide range without problems. your seed will germinate and be just fine if you put it in a piece of kitchen paper and popped into a plastic baggie

Shit man... I'll be glad to take a break after this round is done... Im either thinking about weed, or seeing it from the time I get up till I go to bed. I need the break. My day consists of VPD, environment, feed, PH, RH, temps, Rubisco affect, ..... going on vacation in June, my mind is full.... and I don't even smoke weed that often.

I'm resigned to growing my legal limit. Aiding friends and enjoying time in my gardens. I hand work all. With a hose. LOL. I'm beyond my needs. Miss legal money side.

And the vacation sucks. Here's my 1/2 strength starter with tap water from 4/20 drop. LOL. 005.jpg

Looking good man!.... I sometimes wished I just had 6-8 plants to deal with.... but, its a job like any other job. Only problem is, you gotta figure out your own problems..... im just a pup when in comes to indoor growing, but im constantly learning and experimenting.

That C99 gonna get bushy as hell.. lots of larfing on that strain. They are heavy yielders, but grow short and bushy.
Actually stuck in the hull. Running low on F2 so I dropped the less desirable. And Stout solid sing stem Garden Gnome type colas. The Pre 98 is the real gem. Ad the ugly seeds. Saving best for last thing. I'm good.

P.S. My vacation induced this and another 100 or so to go. LMAO. Love plants.001.jpg

Maybe you havent seen these? At OP, dont sweat the numbers, look at the plant throughout the grow. That tells if something is wrong, not our testing equipment

So I shouldn’t worry and just let the plant grow and see?
