soil questions

What kind of soil should I use I wouldn't mind doing and homemade soil but I don't really have time to let it bake so what should I do would fox farm ocean forest be good for a soil just that nothing else keep in mind I will be using the fox farm trio thanks for the help in advance any and all advice is much appreciated

Fox Farms is fine... Best to mix it with 25% or more perlite though... I always mix perlite in, but I have one seedling where i just took the soil straight form the bag and it doesn't drain well. And don't forget to amend with Dolomite lime at 1 tbs per gallon.

To make your own soil would be great (Sub cool recipe) but unless you have the time and space and a decent sized grow then it's not worth it.

Next grow I am thinking of going to an already prepared coco blend. I have used Roots Organic or Slcacker if I can find it., but only when I was just beginning. I may try Roots again or another brand. Supposedly these mediums promote faster growth since they dry out faster and you are always delivering nutes. I used the left over roots I had for some potted plants on my balcony and I can say it definitely drains well and dries out quickly.
