Sounds expensive! Your local grow shop has 15 gallon tubs that will work just as well and you wont have to fill them with $50 worth of soil. Much love!

- i second supersoil- and gravel is not nessasary imo but a few inches at the bottom of the can will help with drainage and save you $$ on dirt, btw i know someone who uses 25 gallon cans -bottom 1/4 natural dirt the rest a organic mix and has pulled 2-3#'s off a plant, so 50 gallons is unnecessary.

i use 65 and 100 gallon smart pots...i know people who use bigger ones...
i ran a few mixes this year...i used happy frog and ffof in equal amounts..then coco, perlite, ewc, dolomite, sunshine mix in 6 100 gallon pots...
i used a bag of roots organic potting soil then a local coco blend in the 65s
then have a few in black gold potting soil, one in 707 mix....

they all seem to be similar...but i wont really know till harvest...
