hi

i have a company that will come fit solar panels on my roof for free ..

they will supply 3000w per hr of daylight ...

i have a few grows under my belt

im just asking what sort of setup people would recommend once i get the panels up n running

i have a 3 bedroom house so space isnt much of a problem..

id recommend setting one room as a flower room with 4 partitions seperating 4 600w lights and in another room set up a veg room with a 600mh and a T5 for cloning and that should be just under 3000watts if im not that high, plus little famns and things but those dont take serious power. and id have the room with partitions for a perpetual harvest like 5 plants every 2 weeks avg 2-3 oz a plant with a month veg
you could theoretically pull almost a pound every 2 weeks.

hows that for an idea haha

mayb a dumb question, but do they give the panels to you and install for free? IF I COULD GET IT ALL FOR FREE THAT WOULD BE AMAZING.

Honestly it depends on where you live. The average for the west coast is about 7 hours of day light, so its a pretty legit deal out there. In the midwest/east coast you get significantly lower average sun exposure so the cost might not be worth it.

It'll pay for itself given enough time though, as long as you aren't planning on moving any time soon its a solid investment.

Edit: Honestly it doesn't matter what size grow you setup once you have the panels. Go as big as you're comfortable working with. You should look at the solar panels as a way of saving a big chunk of your electric bill, not as your only source of power. Just because your panels only pull in 3kw an hour doesn't mean you cant be using 6kw ;-)
