Hey 1st off, thanks for having a look at my grow.

This is a budget grow, with no nutes, and just ph papers for testing..
Im using 3 65W 6500K CFL Bulbs, And 2 35W 3000K CFL Bulbs.

This is being done in a closet with a NON ocilating fan pointing on the lights and plants 24/7.

Temps are maintained inbetween 75-80F.

Currently I have the lights on 24/7.
I had a real rough start and this is what my plants looked like when i 1st begun.

https://www.rollitup.org/marijuana-plant-problems/310853-new-everything-curling-leaves-13-a.html

Now 2 1/2 weeks in here is where i stand.

I made the pic large so you can scruntnize the smallest details. Please let me know what you think.

Should i not have 3 plants in one pot?

Should i still be using nonstop 24/7 lighting?

And advice would be great and much apperciated.

I will keep this thread updated ever 2 days or so with at least 3 or 4 pics.

you need seperate them, its gonna suck though since the roots are already gonna be all bound together.
i use 24/0 until i switch to 12/12. are those the actual watts of the cfls or the incandesent equivelent wattage? you dont have like $10 to buy decent nutes and wont have it at any point in the next year? lol, nutes are important. if your gonna grow go all the way, otherwise its not worth the risk and the tiny amount of bud youll get.

I guess my previous thread was not read. Its all good.

They were moved into that pot only days ago.

The root systems on those plants ins NIL, there pretty much non existent..
Photos on the other post.

Also I plan on getting nutes for flowering. however money is tight here atm.

The bulbs are not in the photo at all. and they are actually rated at that, these are not 25w cfl claiming to replace a 65-100w
these are as stated on the ballast 65w 6500K

First off, you will want to make sure you let them dry out in between waterings, or they'll starve from oxygen. They look really wet right now so that's why i mentioned it, as it may have already started, if they've been kept really damp the whole time. What kind of soil is that? They shouldn't need nutes already, but they are showing deficiencies, so it's likely a watering problem, if not a PH problem. Also, when you seperate them, I wouldn't go any smaller than 2 gallon for your final sized pot. I use 3 gallon, and used to use 5 gallon, but they weren't necessary(plants 4' or smaller) so i switched back to save space. Then, we'll go from there.

Nope, you can't leave the three of them in that pot together - they'll wind up strangling one another. You can keep them on 24/0, but if you've had problems with small root systems, maybe go to 20/4, or 18/6 - the dark period will help your roots develop better. You're going to need some kind of nutes, even if it's a $5 bottle of MG tomato food. They are already beginning to lighten in color, showing they want nitrogen. Molasses will also help. Hope they keep looking up for you!

Thanks to all the input.

This molasses. Like the same type for baking? And what sore of dilution ?

I have repotted all 3 of the plants and added a fluorcent tube aswell.
Here are some pics attached.

Thank you for all the responses.

Unsulphered molasses - usually found by the pancake syrup. Use one Tablespoon per gallon of water. Can be increased to 2 during flowering.

^Yep, the same stuff for baking. Just make sure it's the 'unsulphured' type, or you could run into problems. I've never used it yet, but I'm pretty sure that you need to mix it at 1 tablespoon per gallon. Also, you should cover those translucent pots with something to block out the light,(roots don't like light) even tinfoil will work. Don't let anyone tell you that it'll give your plants 'light burn' because it won't, not if it's wrapped around the pots. One more thing....brong those lights down some, even if only a couple inches. 1' from the tops would be best, as long as it's not too hot. I'm sure you can do it with the tube flouro, but not too sure about the others. You should be able to bring them at least within 3", if not closer. Just make sure you have a fan blowing on/across them, that'll help with the heat, and strengthen the stems. :)

I have covered up the clear pots. And lowered the lights to one figer width away. Temps are at 25.8-26.7 C
I apologize, Cannuck here, i dont use gallons and inches and F. ( im sure its around the 80 mark)

anyways we will se how they fair after their repot tommorw. I will follow up with photos and info.

thanks again!

Sweet. My only other suggestion is too keep a close eye on them so they don't grow into the light bulbs and get burned. They can grow really fast if they are growing well. Mine can grow 2 cm a day, at times. :)

looks like youve gotten everything taken care of for now. youve got enough light and i must say its refreshing that for once it wasnt a guy with a bunch of lil 23w's or something thinking the incandesent wattage was the important number, lol, I'll be watching this thread, keep us posted how it goes.

Morning, heres the update.
Last night i re potted all 3 plants and adjusted the lighting.
The plants seem to be taking to their new pots well.
I have lifted the light reflector for ease of taking a picture.
The lights are VERY close to the leaves now, and temps are still ok.
I am monitoring to ensure the leaves do not touch the bulbs.

Hey everyone,
Just wanted to give a verbal update. The plants seem to have taken to the transplants okay, even tho i did damage a few smaller roots in the separation.

Good news: I have come into some money, so id like to get some input on the cheapest way to nutrient my plant.
i will be buying molasses tomorrow. And adding that to my water. Should i invest in anything else? Or are nutes the way to go?
Please give me some CHEAP nute suggestions.

If you want some good cheap nutes that are really easy to use, try DynaGro Grow, and they also have a Bloom version. They're really cheap(less than $20 for both together, I think) and contain everything you'll need for the entire grow, even the trace nutes(which alot of ferts are lacking). Just follow the instructions and they work great. Then you can use the molasses towards the end of bloom. I haven't used molasses yet, but I plan to.

Oh yeah, they have the DynaGro on Ebay for cheap, and also at most hydro shops. It last quite a long time, even the small bottles, so you'll be setup for months if you buy one of each. :)

I definatly will check it out on monday,
i went to one of our MANY head/hydroponics shops here. And they had shelves and shelves of nutes (with pics of beautiful buds on them), all the way up to 100bucks for like 500mL.
It was pretty overwhelming. The guy tried selling me the most primo shit. I grabbed my rockwolls, bulbs, and ph strips and ran.

I will go in with maybe a little more knowledge. this time.

Thanks again, and i will follow up with grow photos tommorow morning.

What type of potting soil are you using? it looks like it contains nutes already or the PH was off from constant wetness. They look stunted from possibly nutes already present in the medium, this is probably why you had small root system. It will probably take a long time before you will need to water again and make sure you poke a lot of holes in the bottom of those containers, you do NOT want water to just sit in the bottom as it will surely alter your PH and continue the stunting, changes look good just let those containers dry well before watering again and dont let the first watering be with nutes included if you do go purchase some, to me they look like they have been sitting in hot soil to begin with so go easy. Better to water first after good dry out then introduce the nutes lightly
