Some Help with LED's

Hello, I would like to make some LED grow lights. I know how to solder and the basic's of electronics. I have been searching around for some kits that I could put together. Or at least just a PCB board that would make life alot easier.

But alias the sites say sold out or just not answering emails. So does anyone have a site that still sells kits or LED matrix PCB's?

Thank you :peace:

asian signals sells boards for phillips/cree
Keith over there is awesome.

If you are looking at using 5 or 3 mm dees for an array,

most people I think simply use bread boards for this task.

If you know basic electronics you don't really need a kit, just get the LED's you want, dig out ohm's law to make sure you don't kill them with too much current, current limiting resistors and you should be set. If you get the high power ones make sure you have a good heat sink for them, heat kills led's. Any other questions ? I'd look into Luxeon Stars if you are serious, read the data sheets and that should have all the info you need.

I was wanting the pcb's for quicker time in soldering putting them together. I have looked at the Stars at on average $3 per they are a little high on my first try at this.

Maybe if I could get a cash crop growing then upgrade and start a blog about it. I might have found a hong kong supplier, but waiting for an email responce.
