I am currently running a 4dx6wx10h' flowering box, with 5 plants theres a big one at about 5 foot alien bubba the smallers are headband, blue dream og, king louie og and la con. It is runnin an overhead cool hood 600w hps and on the side there is a cool tube 400w. do i have enough power to flower? what can i guestimate my yield to be? we are only 7 days into flowering i cant seem to post my pics so do ur best.

yes you have plenty of power to flower...and no i will not guesstimate your yield

Plenty of power to flower.

Aim for 1lb+. Guessing yield based on just wattage is impossible though.

Well the only reason i question it is because ive been told by a few people that 400 and 600w dont have enough intensity to flower some strains. can anyone elaborate on that?

What do they mean they don't have the intensity? A 600w from 3' is ~ the same intensity as a 1k from 4'. I assume you keep your 600 closer to the plants than you would a 1k.

And a 400 + 600 fit the foot print of a 4 x 6 area much better than a single 1k. 2x 1kW would be extreme overkill and surely you would have heat issues. Someone could argue that 2 600s would be better.

i used 400 watt hps throughout my entire grow till the last 3 weeks i started using 800 watts total. my yield was in the 11 oz range dry. one plant. still have 7 oz.

One opinion i understand could have been tainted it was my local hydro store owner so he was prolly trien to puch his expensive stuff, im workn to post some pics the uploader keeps freezing

yes I had this problem before, when it's time to upload files, click on basic uploader instead of the one where you can select a bunch at once,.. hope its clear. make sure that they are less than 800x800 pixel, jpeg works good.
