Something is eating me

I am as newbie as they come and have a question. I have been vegging a plant outdoors for about a month now. I topped it above the second node and it came back strong and started growing back excellently. I came home today and discovered that some sort of insect came and topped the plant off for me again. Has anyone seen this happen before and can the plant grow back healthy?

Click on the little picture of the tree. Sometimes I have a problem uploading from my phone not sure why. What do you men topped it again? Insects usually eat leaves could be animals. Even mice will jack up plants. They behave like little bears and scratch up plants to mark their territory. They are resilient plants.

image.jpgWhatever got to it chewed off the new growth that was expanding from where I topped it. They cut some leaves and a few of the areas I presumed would be new shoots. Not sure how this will affect the plant. I'm still trying to learn how to grow this fascinating plant so I expect bad stuff to happen in my trials but this one was looking healthy and stunk like crazy after a few days in the ground.

that's unfortunate but the bottom shoots will be main colas and nothing stopping you doing the topping method again.

I am interested to see how it bounces back. It looks healthy besides the growth being cut off. The path if light available to it has changed and it only gets About 7 hrs a day of direct light so I'm pretty sure it's going to start flowering before it can recover and probably won't yield anything worth smoking or much of it.
