Something is eating my plant, also yellow spots on leaves

Hey pals,

I have noticed some holes and bitten leaves and some yellowish spots, it grows outdoors so it might be some insects that eat it, but how about the spots? is it the same problem or multiple issues. How can I fix it, preferably with a home remedy? Attaching images. Thanks in advance.

Have you looked closely on top and under the leaves for critters eggs, webs etc?

I didn't really see anything on leaves on top or under. I spray it with garlic juice and water mix, I believe that should protect against most of insects

I recently found some similar looking small holes and spots on some very young plants, and turns out it’s thrips. Not a lot of them, so they were really hard to find (super tiny, tan, wormy looking things). A tell tale sign was finding a few shiny trails on leaves, like a slug/snail had been on them. I started spraying Spinosad (made by Monterey Garden) as a treatment, which was worked brilliantly on our rose bushes in the past.

I just crushed some garlic pieces and mixed it with water and put into spraying bottle.

Thanks, I actually had a problem of snails and they ate most of my young plants, I have only few left and their bites looked different from these ones. I think I got rid of that problem after I placed my girls inside a box (big pot), before that it was planted directly into the ground.

Today I actually found some spiders running over my plants, maybe it's them eating it? How to get rid of them?

I see, thanks for the explanation. Not sure why you think that will take care of bugs? I can't speak for all bugs but mites do not care about garlic juice, just fiy. That doesn't look like Mite damage, just saying that it's not going to be effective against probably too many other bugs either

a friend of mine uses only garlic protection and have grown many flowers in his life, but he grows in his yard and my flowers are in public hidden field surrounded by forests this probably why I have bigger issues than he does. And there are more leaves affected but still most of them are ok, but I am afraid that it gonna spread...

You might want to look into hot pepper/ tobacco sprays, or a store-bought product probably work better cuz something's definitely eating it, doesn't look like mites tho, I guess just keep spraying & monitoring is about all you can do, good luck!

Your plant isnt in bloom yet.
Why not a repellant like neem oil?
Im not a fan of spraying shit either. Neem is organic though, and bugs cant stand it.
Just dont spray flowers with anything, at all. Period.
Any sprays. Stems and leaves only. Bugs use leaves and stems to travel. So it always gets them anyway.
There's also been evidence in recent years, that suggests when ingested, neem isnt as harmless as people believe.
So i personally er on the side of caution.
Neem is about the most organic, most effective pesticide out there imo. It stops a lot of disease from starting as well.
Honestly i avoid sprays like the plague. But if i had to use one. Neem would be my go to.
If i couldn't neem. Id probably use spinosad.
In my opinion if gardeners cant effectively treat for bugs with neem and spinosad. Then they're not applying it properly.

Id choose neem.
