wow man you got it bad too. that happened only in a couple days. Im glad I have never had them. I live in a super dry climate so I think that may have something to do with it but, got shit loads of flys that like to puke all over my plants. They look like they were in a bar fight all scarred up.

I think he just noticed them. You might have had them for months depending on the temps/rh.
They like dry heat. I advise buying AZAMAX. I had mites once and i sprayed them with that and they were gone in 3 days.
Just cut down now and start over.
Never spray this late. Start early on the sprays. veg-week 4.
Make sure you blast your fans on them while they are growing.
