Not specifically anyway, but if it's 2700k and it's super bright/efficient it would still work well. I'm curious to see a lux output....

^ and keep in mind even the HPS we use today is not a grow light.

granted, they have come a long way to adapt them to growing :p

i like the multi diode chips, its a nice way of simplifying the process and compacting everything. I just bought 3 10w leds for my 740 experiment.

Keep in mind these like single chip leds get under-driven to keep in the ideal spectrum and longevity. Most will probably run at 5-8w max.
