Spectrums and importance

I have
4x 32w Softwhite,
2x 42w Softwhite,
1x 32w Daylight 6500 kelvin...

The soft white seem to be generally in the middle of the spectrum I believe, and how specific should I get on lighting in the different cycles.

Do you have any idea how far this could get me, will it do the job fine???
Can it Veg well??
Can it flower well??

Let me know if it is worth it to go out and buy some specific spectrums.

Thanks guys!

6500k is a blue-ish spectrum indeed, it's best for veg. Flower spectrums are closer to (CFL wise) 2700k. Although you should note that K ratings can be terribly inaccurate.

Well, yea i've been reading, and I do know that. But, I'm wondering how important it is, and how much of a difference it would make if I got new lights or not.

Here's a list of how it goes.

Daylight-6500K
Coolwhite-4100K-4500K
Softwhite-3000K-3300K
Warmwhite-2700K

Softwhite will be fine for flowering as long as you have enough of them per plant. For veg i would reccomend getting more of the 6500K. Mix it up a bit adding a softwhite for every 3-4 daylight bulbs you use. Just be sure to concentrate on the blue end more during veg, and the red end while flowering, you can reverse the lights at flowering having 3-4 softwhites per 1 daylight.

Ok well then, lets get the best possible CFL lighting situation for a plant planned.
This could help lotta other people in my situation...

For now... just say for one plant.

Veggy
4x 42w Daylight(6500)
1x 42w SoftWhite(3000)

Flower
4x 42w WarmWhite(2700)
2x 42w SoftWhite(3000)
1x 42w Daylight(6500)

Is that pretty good for mixing them up?
Any suggestions?

I would say that would be good. Good job...only thing is i would say have more bulbs per plant when flowering, maybe 2 more 2700K and 1 more 3000K.

Cfl's take alot to grow anything decent, and make sure to have them as close as possible to the plants without burning them...a good way to measure that is to stick your hand over the leaves and if it's too hot for your hand move the lights away a 1/2". Another way to help with the heat is to have a fan blowing directly on the lights while they are on...and make sure to have a small fan for the plants as well.

Yea.. that would make one nice compact plant with really good yield. Could probably get a few ounces.

Me and a friend have grown a plant with one normal CFL with reflector hood before. And its harvest was pretty decent. Maybe a quarter or half ounce, Idk.

If you look at my gallery...i have my experimental cfl plant in there....i used 7 27W bulbs...5 were 6500K and 2 were 4100K. I was actually impressed at how well it grew...i did top it and worked on side branch growth using the LST method, but i did like how compact it was compared to my MH. But in the end sorry to say nothing beats a HPS for flowering...for the moment.
