Spider mites and cold....

Well as I am blown and need really feeling like doing to much googleing does anyone know the temperature that is to cold for spider mites to survive and how long they can when its that temp? Just curious as I was doing my second clean up havrvest from my aero grow.Let all the lower stuff grow 3 more weeks after main harvest. I got another 12 or so ozs but they have spider mites which just suck donkey dink as I bombed before growing,neem soaped during and bombed 4 times during and they still showed up.Matter of fact I think I saw a few washing up using the neem soap under the magnifing glass...Anyways.I manicured the buds and was thinking since its about 30 degrees outside maybe if I laid the buds in a steel pan spaced out for a couple hours in the cold it would kill the remain fucks in the buds before I do the dry process.I know some people say wash the buds or use a damp cotton ball to get them but my fingers hurt.Manicured 111 wet oz last week and 12 this time and I was just thinking if the cold will do it I can wait an extra day or 2 or will they burrow into the bud for warmth??? Any ideas? Maybe a co2 dry ice bath over the buds to esfixiate them??

Mites can withstand freezing temperatures and can hibernate for at least 1 year...

They are extremely resilient. At about 60 degrees, they become extremely slow moving and manageable.. at 80+ degrees, they start to reproduce at an amazing rate and can completely cover a 20 plant garden in TOTAL webbing in 2 weeks!

i burned sulphur for 12 hours. killed the mildew and the mites. i think they ate it. everything was covered though. afterwards my buddy said "NO, 2 hours".

lol so then my idea to just dip the buds in gasoline for a few minutes then re dry them might no be a good idea if 12 hours of sulphur was bad?

Hey FF, once you get those mites during harvest, it's a pain in the ass to get rid of them. My last harvest, I left town for 6 days and when I got back, all my girls were badly infested. Sucked. Anyway, I took drastic measures - a few days before harvest, I covered the soil and then soaked the plant with insecticidal soap. I left it on for about an hour, then I dipped each branch into unchlorinated water. You'd be amazed by how many SMs and eggs dislodged and was floating in the water! Hundreds. I let the plant dry outside before putting back under the lights. This method didn't remove all the SMs, though. So, once I actually harvested and dried for about a day, I actually submerged the buds and left soaking overnight in water again. Again, the number of SMs and eggs that I found floating was unbelievable! Those fuckers hide well in the buds! I got most of them off the buds but I can still see some dead ones on the outer leaves, which I'll manicure once they are cured. Good luck.
