Wassup ppl my plant has been flowering for about 2 or 3 weeks ans its looking lovely but i went out an i seen a spider on it about the size a BB for a bb gun. And its reddish black color and im just wondering if its a spider mite or another type of spider ive seen em twice and i killed it both times and thr first one was trying to make a web in one of the buds if anyone has any information i would really appreciate it 2012-08-25_21-13-11_820.jpg

If they are spiders, don't kill em. Spiders and ladybugs are good. But if they are mites, then different story. Figure out what it is before you kill it

Kill it if it's attacking your plant. If its spider mites most likely there is more than one. Otherwise leave him be. :) I'm no expert but I would think a bb sized spider is not a spider mite. I was under the impression that S.mites are tiny lil buggers..

On the other hand looking at google images of spider mites I'm seeing a lot of red looking ones.. Not sure on this one..

Good luck

i agree 100% with PuffinChronic that if its the size of a bb, its for sure not a spider mite. mites are tiny and could fit on the tip of a piece of hair...hell, 50 spider mites could fit on the bb.

and after lookin at the pic...there is no spidermite damage on there that i can see and its a pretty clear picture. u will know when u have mite problems, its a one of a kind look. but that looks like a dank ass plant if ya ask me.

tip of a piece of hair? no. they arent microscopic. they r more the size of a tip of a finishing nail (legs body and all) and you can BARELY see them move if you arent looking or arent familiar. webs usually dont start til theyve been there a bit and multiplied. i have been battling them a lot lately.

But if the spider is making a web in the buds should i spray neem oil on my plant
i woodnt want a spider cacooning my buds in webs. i wood remove the spider and spray my plants as a precautionary. but if you dont have bug problems its not necessary to spray. the spider and its webs are up to you.
