Split Main Stem

 Yeah RIU as stated, my mainlined AG plant split down the center.. in panic mode, all I could think to do, was to string wrap the 8 branches from bottom and try and duct tape it back up...:wall: something tells me things have just now gone down hill..

I even had the tomato ring around it for add support... either the colas were too heavy or some type of bad luck..

All that to ask this...
Do growers sometimes purposely split the bottom main stem...I saw a guy split it then inserted a thin spacer and then zip tied the top portion..

Was said to stress it to make more... fill in the blank...

Damn seriously should I just chop it or hold off...
I can not believe this shit:finger:

This shit is the Pitts... I stayed in the dark room with a green fuking light on for damn near an hour...I’m sore as hell about this...

I may just hold off on mainlining another after these ... my trunk obviously wasn’t on swoll enough ....

Ok.. I must be Tripping.. so I should be ok.. I was worried about it up taking water...just wanna finish it out

I accidentally split one of my 6’ plants right down the middle halfway through flower last year. Taped it back together with some electrical tape and she carried on with no issue.

Ok.. perfect.. this has been a great grow...my patience is paying off and she’s almost done...feeling a lot better now...
2 more weeks at best.. this is day 57 of flower

I've had it happen before. I just calmly taped it up and forgot it even happened. Plant did as well.

I'm always surprised at how hard it really is to kill a plant lol. I have really roughed some plants up. Had a light fall on one and break the main stem almost in two about 3 inches from the bottom. She was hanging on by threads and I made her a splint with a pair of chopsticks and duct tape and she drooped for a day or two and came right back and was still a great plant.

You're lucky, when my light fell on my plant it broke the main stem right off! She never recovered. She was six weeks into flower, clear trichs, surprisingly strong high from what I was able to salvage but it didn't last long, no trace of sedation either.

That's a super sad picture. Sorry for your loss. Hope the cremation process was healing..
