Sprayer timing?

hey everyone,
im thinking of doing my first aeroponics system grow, and i dont have a clue about the timing of the sprayer, or if they are on ll the time?

Anyones input on this would be much appreciated.

$90 timer for the 1 min on 5 off.

i run 24/7. because i dont want to spend the $90 right now. works fine for me. judge for you self.
