Sprout With Seed Tip

My seed appeared to have sprouted along with 2 others, while those 2 look fine and have put out leaves, this one looks like the tip is covered by the seed shell or something. Is there something wrong with this, or do I need to give it more time?
Also, the soil has been wet since I wet it to put the seeds in, should I still be misting it a few times a day?
Any help would be appreciated, thank you.

normally the plant will shed the seed cap by itself. i have had to remove them myself from time to time, but damge to the seedling can occur. i am not a big fan of misting my plants, but when i need to remove a shell cap, i put a drop of water on the shell a few times over an hour and the shell gets a little softer and easier to pry off.

i think you should wait a couple more days before taking it off yourself. i always have extra seedlings, so if i damge one, it doesnt hurt so bad.

Like smoke said, it's pretty normal. Wait a few days if he's still stuck on there do like he said and drip water on him. They'll usually break them before they get a chance to do damage but monitor that puppy and make sure she stays good to go

if you saturate the soil before you sow your seed then you need not keep misting it. there are very small roots and alot of wet soil for them to grow into. i normally dont water until i clearly see the soil in the bottom dry. this is 1 reason i use clear party cups placed in colored cups. goodluck

NO, Take a crow bar, and then apply pressure along the stem base with the side of your foot, until the shell cap pops off

The plant with the seed tip is fine and it just has a little yellow spec that has been fading since it was shed, one of my other ones has a little yellowish brown discoloration and I'm not sure why, I have been treating it the same as the other two. They are 9 days in since first putting the seeds in the soil, I've been keeping them under around 18 hours of light per day, switching between the sun and this about 34" away
I've fed them once with 2 drops of a 7 drop dose 10-15-10 plant food split amongst the three, I'm not sure whether or not I should have more nitrogen or if that's okay even though phosphorus is supposed to be higher in flowering. They look fine I think, but any input on anything there would be nice, and also when I should transplant them into a bigger pot.

youre better off with cfls.

Why cfls? This one says full light spectrum. Should I use it after they grow a bit more?

cfl's are much more efficient than incandescent bulbs. you can use around 6 -100watt equivilent cfls and use about the same wattage as that 150 watt bulb you have. you can get the cfl's closer to the plant than the incandescent because cfl's throw off less heat.

your seedlings are too young for nutes. I would stop that right away. Your plant won't need nutes until the little rounded pre-leaves die off.
