so i have 8 seeds that were germed in the paper towel method and they are now in soil under 24-hour HPS light wich is about 4 feet away from the tops of the pots. they have been under the light for about 12 hours now but nothing has risen has sprouted out. I'm not really worried yet but i was wondering how long it can take for them to sprout out. (the reason i'm worrying a little is because they were really vigirous during the germ phase and the roots grew from about an inch to an inch and a 1/2 long before planting in soil and they mite have used up all the energy stored in the seeds)

Give them a couple days. You should cover the tops of the pots with plastic wrap to help retain moisture until they sprout.

some times i actually let mine practically pop apart from the seed when germinating. just for future reference, if u do this then plant them so just a little light can get through a little soil sprinkled over em they do great.

It could take anywhere from 1 day to even a week. Give them a few days. You should be fine. Make sure soil is moist, but not drenched. Good luck!

i usually try to place the top(former seed pod) just enough in the dirt where i can still see it, and of course the root in the soil.....usually i see something in a day or two.
