So i just recently started growing for the first time. It's been probably 2-3 weeks since the main plants sprouted. The seeds are nothing special, but i've been doing a lot of research online, especially on this site. I figure i get the basic jist of how things are supposed to be going, and what i should be doing, but i could use some help.
My Supplies:
-Miracle Gro Potting Mix
-Miracle Gro Plant Food Spikes (6-12-6)
-Distilled Water
-Polar Seltzer Water (for the carbonation)
-E2C Full Spectrum 70 Watt Torchiere Lamp
I spray my 5 sprouts down several times a day with a mixture of distilled and carbonated water, in which i have disolved one plant food spike.
Two days ago, i put a plant food spike in the actual flower pot to see how they would react. Since i started using the spikes, the little lealets seem to be much greener and even a bit bigger. However, the plants aren't showing any of the huge spurts of growth that they used to, and i was wondering if maybe they were due for a transplantation, or if maybe my techniques should be tweaked.
Oh yeah, i had the lamp on 24hrs for the first like two weeks, but now i bought a cheap timer and i'm doing 18hrs on and 6hrs off. Also, i have all five of my spouts in a 6 inch diameter flower pot...
I'm thinking i should probably transplant the three big sprouts into their own 10 inch diameter flower pots, but i'm not quite sure how to go about doing that...
Any tips? I've read a whole bunch of the noobie things, but i'd really appreciate some help with my sprouts.
Thanks!
