SRoG or SOG?

I want to try something new. I've been growing in soil for a year. I want more yield and quicker harvests.

I'm considering a SRoG in soil or SOG perpetual in a flood and drain.

Thoughts?

id say sog..with scrog you have to veg for a long time and lst to get it bushy

ya id agree with that. i use SCROG and its great for getting big yeilds with few plants but can get hassely working around the immovable canopy. for the SOG literally pack in a plant in every space you can but a week or two before you flower go under and trim off all branches that have no hope of getting up to the main canopy so that the plants focus on there main and secondary colas most. do it slowely though over the course of those two weeks, too much chopped at once can stress and stunt growth.

theres a pretty dank thread about both methods in here somewhere, just type it in the search bar

Ok. I have an 8x4 tent. 2 600 watt lights. I'm going to keep one side soil, organic.

If I do a sog, flood and drain table. I'll build two tables about 1 3/4'x 3 3/4' so I have room to reach around. I'll use two rezes, one for each table. I think I can fit 8-10 plants per table, so 16-20 total. Harvest 4-5 plants every 2 weeks.

I have a separate cab for clones and another for mothers. Sound good?

ya but if your gona studder them each by 2 weeks to have a perpetual harvest i think your defying the benefits of SOG. IMO, the point of the SOG is to pack in plants so tight that when the main colas bloom there all at an even height and they rest upon eachother creating a blanket of buds. if your always taking out the biggest and adding in smaller plants then you will never have an even canopy. i still think this system is great and thought amout doing intermitten harvests myself, but i think its starting to steer away from SOG though. not that it really matters anyways lol. a way to grow is a way to grow, doesnt need a catagory.

this set up will crank out some real product though if you perfect a strain

I have a White Castle mother that I can easily take 10 clones from but not every two weeks. I'll have to let her get a little bigger. I also have two Super Lemon Haze mothers but I don't think they will work well in this setup. I might try one.

Once I dial it in, and if I like it, I might order some Jillybean and try that.

Any good links on how to build a flood and drain system? Not a lot of great info out there.
