Stalk Problem

I can post pictures later but have a plant question. I took a clone from a female almost 6 weeks ago. It is still pretty much the same size as it was before but with more leaves. The problem is the bottom of the stalk have a huge calus going all the way around the bottom. Is this causing it not to grow?

Its fine, right now the plant is putting energy into its root system, let it do its thing and it will start to grow upwards.
Whats your light cycle, nutes, setup?

White callus are potential spots for roots to develop. If they are white then don't worry, or bury the clone deeper.
