Starter tray to 2 gl pot?

I dont know if this has been asked, but would it be ok to put week old plants into 2 gl pots to reduce the transplants?

you can, but using smaller pots and up potting is a great way to build a mass of roots. more roots, more uptake, more growth

Thanks for the reply. I started some super skunk so I guess I will go from starter tray to 16oz cup, then to 2 gallon.
