I just planted a germinated seedling in a 3 gal bucket of soil, i know i was supposed to start in a jiffy pot/cup but i always fuck up when repotting. the question i have is, will it sprout and grow or is the bucket too deep? (its been 2 days and nothing has sprouted.)

weather you start in cup or 2 gal pot or 5 gal pot you plant seed same depth lessthen a 1/4 inch below soil line

i soak mine over night between a napkins sandwich --placed on a heating pad at 78 to 80 deg-in the dark-next day if split it goes to cup 3/4 filled wit starter soil the rest i add as it grows --if not split i por off water leave damp and put back til split

if i helped hit star in lower left corner

good luck -keep em green- 1luv

Takes longer than 2 days for a seed to germinate and pop up through soil. Give it a full week to 10 days.

@ dura72+Dwezelitsame+Purplekrunchie Yeah thats true but plz hear me out.Previously after the wet paper towel method and leaving it behind the computer router where its warm for a few days it was ready to b planted, and i put the seed in a 5 gal with soil and put a 100w cfl over it for 5 days nothing sprouted and i though alright.. i watered it and everything so i figured i would jus scoot away some dirt to help the seedling reach a little light but there was nothning, i couldnt even find the seed after diggin thru the dirt! the next day i tried another ready germinatd seed and same thing. i found it wierd so i conclude that i must start it out in a cup first then repot into the 5 gal.
Thanks for the replies and help much appreciated!

How deep did you bury it?

____
do you use a heating pad ?? the depth of the seed should be equal to thickness of seed --0__ so if zero is seed dont plant no deeper then this
you plant with the point down right --i some times just sprinkle a little tiny bit of soil on seed

next time with cup try a baggie and rubberband til break soil then remove and under light

if in pot try upside down cup on top till break soil ...both these tricks will give you like a green house affect and hold moisture in to germ faster

good luck i dont know what you doing wrong but unless you have access to clones you better learn to germ

if i have helped you hit star in bottom left corner
good luck

i buried it just the tip of my index finger deep and then covered a pinch of loose dirt over it, mayb it was too deep, but ive been succesful with germinating before and this has only happend to me twice. its most likely bcuz of starting the seedling in a 5 gal bucket, only reason i can thnk of
