starting seeds for hydro? (dwc)

So i know this isn't well placed but i know you guys are constantly popping seeds like me...

I've fucked with dwc in the past and killed it but it was a pain in the ass. Now I'm running an rdwc system, trying to switch over from long time soil grows for ease (flushing, less need to spend lots of time watering, being able to dial in exact ppm... way better yield)

Anyways I've used those rapid rooter things back in the day and some clones got fucked early on from stem rot (my fault from keeping em so most)

Anyways long story short I'm shy to use them with how much water they retain... maybe it's misplaced but how do you guys do it? And if you are using the rapid rooter plugs how do you male sure they're wet enough but not too wet so they rot...

Thanks

Sounds noob when I'm anything but, just don't want to waste good seeds... well i guess i am a noob in hydro, only have 6 or so grows back in the day under my belt

I let the plugs get as soaked as possible under warm - not hot - water. Then give it a 2/3 hand squeeze, so the plug is very damp...almost wet, but not quite. After placing the se-ed or clone in the plug, it's put in a McDonalds 'yogurt parfait' cup and the lid secured. Only in the hottest part of the year does a clone need re-wetting; the cup and lid secure the moist environment.

Another benefit: collecting the cups and lids. Those parfaits are delicious.

Goji OG cuts - the last one rooted in 9 days; others should soon follow.

does gogi og does wll in hydro ive heard some most pheno are keeper
Most people I think, agree that the 'sweet berry' pheno is the keeper, Yes, it does extremely well in hydro. The Goji on the left is a girl, the middle is a male, [the third is a DNA Lemon Skunk]. I'm moving the male today, but will collect some pollen to make some bottom branch s-1s of the girls. Lemon berry Goji sounds pretty good to me. :)
