when beginning the vegatative stage, do the light wattage need to be the same. like if i plan on using a 400w hps, does the metal halide need to be the same. My original plan was to start seedlings wit flourescents and then move them to a 250w metal halide to avoid heat. then induce flowering with the 400 watt hps. or should the metal halide be the same wattage. will that be too much for the young plants?
