Hello fellow Riu'rs

I've been a long time forum stalker, but I've never posted and since I'm starting a new project i kinda feel like well...... why not now. I'll be working in an Armoire i picked up off craigslist for about 50 bucks and going for, yep you guessed it stealth. Overall measurements are 53"H x 23"D x 36"W. Which are divided into two compartments the top which I'll be using as the flower chamber measures 31" H x 35"W x 22"D and bottom which will be the veg and clone chamber is 19"H x 22"D x 35"W. My goal is to have both the intake and exhaust completly internalized an minimal light leakage. I'll be using 3 120mm computer fans for the exhaust and 2 80mm computer fans for the intake (since I'm using cfl's). I'll also be using 2" Pvc for the exhaust and intake shafts to give you all a better idea of what i'm talking about and since no post is complete with out them here are some pics:eek:

any feed back, comments, or help will be greatly appreciated:)

yep now i'm just waiting to grab a bit more cash so i can finish wiring the flower chamber i plan on adding another 5 power strips in there by this coming weekend, i plan on having a lot of support lighting damn near all around the inside i would put them on the doors to but it would take to much space from plants

try getting your hands on some t5 or t8 tubes second hand for sidelighting

that sounds like a good idea actually that way i could have all the side lighting i want and in the end be saving space when compared to the cfls. hmm i'll see what i could do Thanks

I was just thinking...man that is alot of power run in that space. You must be going with CFL plugin sockets with spliters? With the wiring experience you have I was kinda suprised you didn't wire up your own light fixure.

Nice looking cabinet at a good price to boot. Hanging around to see if I can put in a tip or two...

yep i am going with cfls with the splitters and actually the big time lights are going in last. i was gonna order a couple 200-300 actual watt cfl bulbs for the top and botttom though that'll be done after i can get the inside cover with some sort of reflective material i was thinking about some stuff called lighting 97% it's better than mylar as it won't scratch, bruise or stain for the most part so i can even put it on the floor

Very nice stealth build, my friend. You obviously have some serious experience with electrical work.

thanks MJ lol yeah I'm sure I could prob rig up an entire house you know with sparks and electrical fires included lmao

Very nice, I like, I like alot!

Question.... So the fans on the left side are "pushing" the hot air down? If so, is there a reason you didn't vent out the top ( to/through a filter)?

and a suggestion, a stealth lock will make it a lot more difficult for a nosey, whomever, to check out your cool cabinet.

Dan first off .... I fucking love that lock dude I don't know where you found them but I definitely gotta get me some. And yes the fans on the left are pushing the air down the shafts out the base of the box so that nothing is shown coming out the back, top, or sides of the armoire so that. It can 1 give the appearance of a regular old armoire and most importantly to stealth be put flush with any wall or corner. With out putting holes in anything or staging the area

fab fun - nope not buying mylar but something better, I've tried mylar but it bruised to too easily. So I'm going with something sturdier lightning 97% (said in a really cool and epic sounding voice)

Nice dude! Anyone who goes through the ordeal of making a stealth grow room already knows the hard but rewarding work that goes into growing. Jah bless the grow!

Dominathan, truer words were never spoken my friend

Amk792, yep that's plan b actually, first I was gonna cover up ever thing with the lightning and see if that would eliminate the leaks and plan be was gonna be either duct tape, electrical tape or the black paint you suggested thanks for the comment though and welcome to the party guys :)
