Hi!
Long time reader, first time poster (I should post a welcome first, my apologizes.. didn't want to get distracted yet).
So after a long time trying various stealth grows.. they all seemed to have issues (mainly space, watering, root space). I stumbled on a post on here about diy drip hydro and it solved most of my issues.
My current set up:
1 x Gutted Dresser
2 x Aqueon® Freshwater T5 Light Fixtures (18w I think)
1 x 5G plastic tote
4 x 3.75 inch netpots (with rockwool + stones)
1 x 296gph pump
1 x 1/2 inch pump hub to 8x1/4 inch
1 x airpump (+2 airstones)
Nutes: Currently using FloraDuo A+B, great white mycorrhizae
(Need fans/ventillation)
So far, so great - except the fishtank sound in my room. The pump hums and the water makes the lovely sound of water dripping back into the reserve. However, this takes out the stealthy part of the whole thing. I could just get a fish tank to mask the sounds, I was just hoping to avoid it. I do have a pump bag covering the pump to help with the vibration.
Two questions:
1. Any advice on the setup?
2. Any advice on the sound? I may just get a small fish tank anyhow, just worried that the noises won't.. match up or make sense to someone in the room.
Thank you in advance!
