Stored Shrooms

I have some shrooms my friend gave me, i have had them for about possibly a year now, about a 1/4 of them,, i am wondering are these still ok to consume? and will i still have the same effect? Or do shrooms go bad and not ok to eat?

if i post pics will it make this easier to determine?

No need for the pic... if the mushrooms were dried properly and kept in a cool and dark place then the potency of them should still be active... although it might of endured some loss in potency.
