Stressing your plant before harvest theory

I have a plant that had a branch 'CRACK' on me. So I cut the branch off being that I was at week 7 and hung it up. Now here's where things got Interesring. Over the next 2 weeks right in the middle Above the branch I cut off where i topped at the 'y' the buds just blew up and shot out a bunch more white pistils and doubled in size while the top half of the plant is just ripping frosty and amber trichomes and is not growing anymore white pistils. I believe the plant produced more than I took off. Has anyone had something similar happen with them.

It looks like the buds are foxtailed I may be wrong the picture is a tad blurry when I zoom in
No actually the calyx are separate from one another and only had a few pistils left to turn. I'm harvesting tomorrow. Trichomes look so frosty and I just started to see Amber start to form about 5 days ago. The bottom had all those pistils going on once that branch snapped on me. I was going to harvest last week but those buds suddenly tripled in size right at the center. So I spoke with some growers and they said give her another week. Some told me to chop the top. This is my 1st grow I had 1 cadapilar do some damage but I cut those spots off when I found him. It gets like 12 hours of direct sunlight a day in Central Florida. At least 8 to 10 direct. I'm still learning by trial and error.
