My first time growing- i opted for Blue dream auto.
germinated on 15th Jan 24 in a cup and then transplanted on 1st Feb. to a 5 gallon fabric pot containing 5 kg coco peat, 5kg potting red soil ( which is the locally available garden potting soil), 1kg Worm casting and 1/2 kg perlite.
Placed under a 75W led full spectrum light on 18/6.
I did notice the seedling's growth stalled a bit after the transplant- but then in 2 days it began to grow rapidly.
Since I had just made the soil mix from a coco peat block- the medium was damp so I did not water it since 1st Feb.( transplant day).
To my surprise the medium was still slightly moist as per the moisture meter a whole 2 weeks later on 15th Feb. And definitely bone dry when I put my finger an inch or two. So I watered with soft tap water ( naturally 6ph) for the first time since transplant used up about liter and a half of water. Soon I noticed the stems were stiff but all the leaves had curled down. It stayed this was for a day and then went back to normal and growing fast. Once again the medium remained moist for over a week at which point she had started pre flower. I used LST to get a 11 top canopy including the main top. I waited a couple of days and watered with 1litre soft tap water mixed with 5 ml of liquid seaweed and used only 500ml of the mix to boost flower. Once again all the stems stayed firm but all the leaves curled downwards. Based on all the information online- by now I knew I have a overwatered plant. So I decided to not water and hope she recovers It's been about 2 weeks since and she is totally stunted with no growth or fattening of the buds and 90% of the leaves have turned or turning yellow. The medium is bone dry now on the sides of the fabric pot however when I stick the moisture meter near and around the stem it reads wet all the way to 10 on the dial even now. It seems as if the roots have held on to the grow medium and made a clump which causing the water to not dry out. By the looks of it now she has root rot and won't recover :( is this a lost case? Should I just turn of the lights, discard this grow and cut my loses? Or is there a chance of recovery?
Is my soil mix the problem? How do I correct this in my next grow? I have an amnesia haze auto flower seed- but I'm afraid to germinate now, cuz I wanna make sure I don't make the same mistakes again. Any and all guidance is much appreciated. Thanks in advance
