Stupid Plant Placement Question

I feel like an idiot, but should my larger plants be in the middle of my growspace, or the outer edges, giving the seedlings more light?

put something under the babies to bring them up to the height of the big ones.

I'm going to put upside down pots under them, just wondering what the better placement would be.

Thanks, I thought I had it backwards, my bigger plants are stretching, and was hoping to move them under more direct light, I know what I'm doing this afternoon.
