sugar leaves or buds.

im getting ready to chop very soon and have a question concerning amber trichomes. if i look at sugar leaves the trichomes are a lot more amber than the buds. if im going by the buds i would say i have around ten days before chop. if im going by the sugar leaves it is ready now. what does the mad scientists here say? i usually watch for ambers starting on the bud and leave it till i have very few clear ones. then i chop. am i leaving it too long if the sugar leaves are way more amber? tia.

sugar lreaves will mature faster then the buds, youbwant to focus on the buds themselves for colour change

thats kinda what i was going by but i keep reading about peeps using the leaves to forecast when they ready. just wanted to nail that down.
