Suggestion: Anonymous moderators

I am recommending moving to generic moderator accounts, in example Moderator A and Moderator B. This will stop much of the in-fighting related to perceived 'special' status the moderators have. Further it will allow the moderators to do their work without having to worry about the blow-back from certain posters and still participate in their community.

The moderators have a difficult task and this could take some of the pressure off them.

The mods here are so polite they are not even like mods
they even say please lol

i see those mods at grasscity and other forums closing threads all the time
and many of them have an attitude even when most of them are newbies anyway
its not perfect here, but its a lot better than most

peace :)

Had to go with this Curious. Why not have the mods do a secret vote on the forum site and or have members vote as well? I like the personalization instead of:

You know this is why I waited so darn long to post this suggestion. I think the moderators here are very good. I worried that posting this suggestion might make them think I didn't appreciate them or worse make them believe I think they could do better. Nothing could be further from the truth.

This is a very responsible and kind group of people. I have NO fears of them doing anything 'evil' or underhanded to me or anyone on here. Further having anonymity would allow them to not have to say things like, "I can't say what I would really like because I'm a mod". It would also stop the trolls following certain mods and accusing them of of banning etc.. when nothing could be further from the truth.

They should be allowed to say whatever they want just as you or I do. Further if something starts to go wrong we can report it and there are backend logs of all mod. activity. So frankly I think this would make the volunteers who do so much to make this the great place it is have an easier time of it. So some of the meaner trolls can't stalk these generous people.

I hope that helps better explain what I was trying to say. I'm just throwing it out there. This is up to the mods and admins to decide. I just thought it might help so I brought it up.
