Swapped cooltubes to pro shades and temps up

I was runnin cooltubes. At 25 degree.

I swapped to massive magnum xxl shades csuse there said to be more efficient at cooling and more lumens.

Defo more lumens more light spread..

But ma temps are 32degree lol


This is winter now aswel haha
Ive no idea why temps rose.

I use more than bigg enough fans.

400cmf in
900cmf out on filter
400cmf on coolshades in out push seperate.

Strange as fk. I mean i see peeps sayin for 2 1000watts ya need 400cmf...how i dont know i use 900 on 1200 and the 1200s in cooltubes lol and still i feel i need alot more.

I feel 900 on shades seperate
And 900 in
1500 out

Would work better but thats what ma mate uses on 3600watt lol.

In me cold loft how the hell has a bigger better shade increased my temps??

Want to make sure I have things straight.

You are using:
- 400CFM for intake?
- 900CFM for exhaust?
- 400CFM for air cooling the lights?

Some pics would definitely help.

You are using inline centrifugal fans correct, not the duct booster style fans?

One thing to note is that pulling air through the lights is more efficient to cool. The magnum xxl reflectors are large and because of their shape if you push air through them it creates a swirling effect which disrupts the airflow. Whereas the air travels much easier through the cool tubes because of the cylindrical shape so there isn’t as big of a difference whether you are pushing or pulling the air.

On the pic u can see the carbon filter thats on a 6inch rvk l1 900cmf

The hoods are both on a 6inch a1 400cmf

And i run the same 6inch 400 intake

I dont like to pull the heat thru the fans been told off for it somuch.
Also if theres a leak it pulls the smellout.
Where as if pushing and leak u push air in a bit no worries lol. I know it shouldnt leak but shit happens lol.

Would more airmovement increase the cooling say from an 8inch like the duct size the hoods have?


The exyraction pipe seems to blow a fair whack still lol.

I ran them inline once and shit myself cause my fan was that hot lol.

Pretty hard to overheat a fan since it's constantly moving the air.
