Switching Clones from soil to hydro at day 15...Any Advice?

So here is my question. I got 4 clones that are rooted in soil. I run hydro and don't want anything to do with soil so I am wondering if I could just clip clones toward the base and reroot them with no problems. Anybody done this? They are about 15 days old in soil right now. Thanks.

What medium do you want to transplant them into? What grow method are you going to use? I would suggest transplanting into a coco/perlite mix.

I was going to drop them into waterfarm buckets with hydroton. Decided to transplant three and reroot one. Hopefully it wasn't retarded to attempt to reroot but we shall see.

...you can do it. You may see sure signs of stress afterwards, but, I've seen it done...and vise versa. Just give them roots a good rinse. Hygrozyme would be good to use in your situation...it is said that hygrozyme makes the dead plant material (roots) break down and become food for your plants. A shocking transplant would create dead root mass as I understand, which could cause root rot. Something to think about. Hygrozyme is an expensive add, btw.

Rerooting will work fine as long as you use the standard procedure for cloning. Hope it comes out well.
